A 7-mile trail around a forested lake – the local favourite for running, biking, fishing and paddling.
Salem Lake sits on the east side of Winston-Salem and is ringed by a popular, mostly flat gravel trail of about seven miles. It is great for an easy bike ride, a long run or a short out-and-back walk from the marina.
Good to know
- Seasonal boat and kayak rentals and fishing are available at the marina – check with the park for times and permits.
- The trail connects to the Salem Creek Greenway if you want to keep going toward downtown.
- Bring water – there is little shade on parts of the loop in summer.
