Linville Falls drops in two stages into Linville Gorge, one of the deepest gorges in the eastern United States. Short trails from the Blue Ridge Parkway visitor area lead to several overlooks – Erwin's View and Chimney View are the favourites.
Plan 1–2 hours. The Parkway can close in winter weather, so check road status first.
