America's favourite scenic drive – and its most photographed curve, hugging the side of Grandfather Mountain.
The Blue Ridge Parkway runs right past Blowing Rock, and the stretch toward Grandfather Mountain is one of its best. The Linn Cove Viaduct curves around the mountainside on concrete segments built to protect the slope, and the Tanawha Trail below it gives you the classic view.
